What we collect
Customers and website visitors:
- Mobile number (to sign you in and send OTPs and order updates) and, if you give them, your name, email and GSTIN
- Delivery addresses, map pins, landmarks and site contact details
- Your location, only when you allow it, to show whether we deliver to you and to set a delivery address
- Orders, payments and invoices. Card and bank details are handled by our payment partner, and we receive only the payment status and reference
- Photos or messages you send us when you report an issue or contact support
- Device and app information (device type, app version, crash and error logs) needed to keep the service secure and working
- Details you enter in website forms (bulk order enquiry, delivery-partner interest, contact, notify-me)
Delivery partners (in addition, when you join the Buildo Partner app):
- Identity and licence details: name, date of birth, a selfie, PAN, driving licence and, where you use DigiLocker, verified identity data. We keep only the last four digits of an Aadhaar number
- Vehicle details and documents (registration, insurance, pollution and permit documents)
- Bank account and UPI details for payouts
- Precise location while you are online or on a trip, including when the app is in the background. We do not track you when you are offline
- Photos and event details for pickups and deliveries, and details of the device you use

Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and verify you by OTP
- To check delivery availability, take and deliver orders, calculate prices and taxes, and process payments and refunds
- To assign and navigate deliveries, confirm delivery with an OTP and photos, and settle partner earnings
- To verify delivery partners and keep customers and partners safe
- To issue GST invoices and keep records the law requires
- To answer queries, handle complaints and report issues
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to improve the service
- To send order updates by app, SMS or WhatsApp. We send promotional messages only if you agree, and you can stop them at any time
We use your data for these purposes on the basis of your consent, or for the limited other uses the law permits, such as meeting a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing may mean we can no longer provide some features.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- Delivery partners, who see the delivery address, site contact name and number (calls are masked where possible) for the time of the delivery
- Our payment partner, to process payments, refunds and payouts
- Service providers that send SMS, WhatsApp, email and push messages, provide maps and routing, verify identity documents, GST details and bank accounts, and host our systems
- Tax, legal and regulatory authorities, courts and law-enforcement agencies where the law requires or allows it
- A buyer or successor of our business, if we ever restructure, who must honour this policy
These providers may use your data only to serve us and under written terms that require appropriate protection. We store data on servers located in India.

How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account is active and until you ask us to delete it
- Orders, invoices, payments and related records: for the period required by tax, accounting and company law
- Delivery photos and event records: for the period needed to resolve disputes and claims
- Partner verification and payout records: while you are a partner and for the period the law requires afterwards
- Security and system logs: for at least 180 days, as Indian cyber-security rules require
When a period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.

ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವು ಡೇಟಾವನ್ನು ಡಿಲೀಟ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಅಥವಾ ಯಾರದ್ದೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we share it with
- ask us to correct or complete it, or to erase it when it is no longer needed
- withdraw your consent
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied
To use these rights, write to our privacy contact (Anath, cvrbuildo@gmail.com) or use the Delete your account page. We aim to respond within 30 days. Some data, such as invoices, must be kept for the legal period even after you ask for erasure.

Location, camera and notifications
Customer app: location is used only when you allow it, to show whether we deliver to you and to place your delivery pin. You can type a pincode instead.
Partner app: while you are online or on a trip, the app uses your device location continuously, including in the background, to assign nearby orders, give navigation, show customers where the order is, and verify delivery. A persistent notification shows when this is active. Turn the app offline and tracking stops. The camera is used only to capture your selfie, documents and delivery photos.

Children
Buildo is not for children. You must be 18 or older to use our apps. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and breaches
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, role-based admin access, audit logs and regular security testing. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
